HUBUNGAN PENGUASAAN ASPEK KEBAHASAAN TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN MENULIS KARANGAN DESKRIPSI SISWA KELAS X SMAN 1 KECAMATAN PAYAKUMBUH

This study aims to describe the relationship of mastery of aspect of hospitality to writing skill essay
description of students of class X SMAN 1 Kecamatan Payakumbuh. This type of quantitative
research uses correlation method. The population of students of class X SMAN 1
KecamatanPayakumbuh consisting of 9 classes amounted to 281 students. Determination of sample
was done by used cluster of sampling radom and chosen class X.6 which amounted to 32 people.
The results consist of three things. First, there is a significant relationship between the mastery of
aspect of hospitality of writing skill essay description of students of class X SMAN 1 Kecamatan
Payakumbuh that was t counthinger than ttable, that is 3,844> 1,697. At n-2 degrees of freedom and a
significant level of 0.05. Thus, H_0 was rejected and H_1 was accepted because the test results
prove that t count was greater than t table (3.844> 1.679).
