Focus and Scope

Jurnal Kajian dan Pengembangan Umat is a means of scientific publication of original research results published by Fakultas Agama Islam Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Barat. This journal aims to provide opportunities for researchers and lecturers to develop and accumulate knowledge, values, attitudes, and skills in the form of scientific works. Jurnal Kajian dan Pengembangan Umat is published twice a year, namely January-June and July-December, and publishes scientific works related to:

  • Islamic Family Law
  • Islamic Education
  • Arabic Language Education
  • Primary Teacher Education
  • Islamic Counseling Guidance

Peer Review Process

Every article that has been submitted to the journal of the Center for Community Studies and Development, Faculty of Islamic Religion, UM West Sumatra, will first be checked for originality by the Editor, after which it will be forwarded to the Reviewer. The article will be reviewed by at least 2 Reviewers/Bestari Partners, the time required to carry out a review is a maximum of 4 weeks, the review process is carried out using Blind Peer Review.

 

Open Access Policy

Jurnal Kajian dan Pengembangan Umat provides open access on the principle of making research freely available to the public to support a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

The OJS LOCKSS system functions as an inter-library distributed archiving system that uses this system with the aim of creating permanent archives (for preservation and restoration)
